Fall 2016 Trends to Try: Renaissance

August 5, 2016

I was browsing some of the fall 2016 trends to try and fell in love with one in particular, Renaissance. I love the romance of it while it still feels edgy somehow. It combines several of the other hot trends. Think ruffles, high necks, exaggerated sleeves, and velvet. In my opinion, one of the best ways to try a trend is in a shoe. It’s less of a commitment than a whole outfit or piece and gives you lots of ways to style. Maybe a velvet buckle shoe or boot in this instance. If you’re looking to browse other fall 2016 trends to try besides what I linked above, Elle, Vogue, and Style Caster have some great recaps.

For today’s post, I am styling a high neck blouse from Zaful. I loved the wrist and neck ruffle detail. It feels very Renaissance. I have had a great experience with Zaful both times I have tried their clothing (see my floral dress here). The packages arrived in good condition and the quality is what you can expect for the low price. Although I originally planned to wear this top with a midi skirt, I loved the 70s vibes of my flare jeans, bag, and hat. I’m linking some great pieces below in case you are interested. What do you think? Will you try any of these trends?

So pretty! I love the top on you and how you kind of took Renaissance to a boho style.

What an amazing look. I have never heard of the Renaissance Look in regard to modern fashion. I would have described this look as Boho. Good to know the difference. I can see the Renaissance feel in the sleeves and shoes. I don’t know if I could pull off a renaissance top, but I’d love to try one of those fun shoes!

I can’t believe that fall is just around the corner. I’m not ready to embracing fall trends yet. I love your blouse though. The sleeves are so nice.
